Challenges

The Public School Employees of Washington’s audience for its Biennial Convention included often-unsung, rather invisible para-educators, bus drivers, custodians, meal makers, and more. So Gracenotes became an actionable way to help one another feel more seen, heard, and valued.

Approach

The event theme—“find your people, find your power”—served as a powerful framework for the value of Gracenotes, which transform this elusive idea of power into something tangible. After all, a key way to find your OWN power is to reflect someone else’s BACK to them. Speaker Andrea Driessen shared tactical, actionable ways to help these critical employees reconnect with their own capacity to make a difference, and become stronger, more fulfilled, more purposeful, and yes, more powerful.

Results

“Andrea’s keynote was a great fit for our convention. She has a genuine way of reminding people that what they do matters, and that message resonated deeply with public school employees, whose contributions are too often overlooked. Andrea brought warmth, authenticity, and energy to the room, and I recommend her to organizations looking for a speaker who will leave people feeling appreciated, connected, and energized.” — George Dockins, Executive Director, Public School Employees of Washington
